Argentinian player Pablo Zabaleta has recently praised the work ethic of loanee Frank Lampard and he stated that the latter is “still training like a teenage”. This was to show that he appreciates the dedication with which Frank Lampard is training and can be compared to a passionate beginner.
Aged 36, the former Chelsea midfielder had scored his 174th goal in the Premier League on Sunday during what many have considered as City’s best performance of the season. They have managed to beat the high-flying Southampton with a score of 3-0.
Lampard is expected to pursue his career in New York City in January as he had already signed for the MLS team after his departure from Chelsea last summer. However his current teammates at City would have been keener if he were to remain at the Etihad Stadium. Zabaleta is delighted by the contribution brought by Lampard.
He has more than once praise Lampard’s professionalism when it comes to handling his training and his assiduity in getting on the training ground. Zabaleta has even qualified Lampard as a legend in football who is still playing like he is just 18 years old.
About their recent win, Zabaleta has also praised the whole team as being fantastic and have a great back and defense. The other two players to have scored during the game were Yaya Toure and Gael Clichy. City’s performance and team synergy is getting better and the team is showing good morale that can be shown by the praises and motivation of each member.
